I love it when I have so many things to do in a week (minus the lack of sleep of course). For the past 2 weeks, I’ve been really occupied with work. Which is just as well because emotionally, I’ve been a wreck and I don’t think I would’ve been able to make it through if it wasn’t for work. Anyways, I realised it’s always like that for me, I’ll get a few different jobs all at one go, over a few consecutive days and then it’ll be quiet for quite some time…. before the next major jobs come by all at once again. I like it though, it makes me feel very important, very useful…..

I was at One Utama 3 days in a row for the Guess Faces to Watch event last week. First, there was the official launch, where Xandria and I were invited to go perform a dance with the other personalities. We got to ride in to One Utama on Harleys and well, it was quite embarassing trying to coordinate our short little dance on stage with 9 other people but it was so much fun! The next two days, I was hired to emcee the roadshow, basically it was the same thing as the main launch but on a much smaller scale. I haven’t done emceeing in a while so the first day there, I stumbled quite a bit, but the next day, I think I did much better, but the manager seemed to be in a bad mood so everything I did seemed not quite perfect to her. Oh well, I have to keep on telling myself that no matter how hard I try, I can never please everyone.

Faces to Watch – The Ultimate Global Model Search is a competition in search of new faces to represent Guess Watches. It is the same kind of competition which propelled Amber Chia to international stardom after she won it a few years back. It’s a worldwide search and this year not only are they looking for a girl, they’re also looking for a guy. So if you think you have what it takes, go to your nearest GUESS store to collect an entry form or click here. Hehehe….I just realised the above was exactly what I said when emceeing the event.

I emceed another event over the weekend for charity. It was the launch of the C2 Privilege Card. C2 stands for Charitable Community and they’ve collaborated with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) to raise funds and at the same time educate the community, especially college and university students about cancer. The privilege card works as a fund raiser, it sells for RM10 and is valid for six months from date of purchase. You can enjoy up to 50% discounts when you flash your C2 card in participating stores, and guess what, Baskin Robbins is one of the merchants!! The whole campaign also includes roadshows around colleges and universities where experts will be giving talks on “Cancer & You”. Click on the below link for more information on where these talks are held and all other information.

If you’re interested in doing your bit for charity and won’t mind purchasing the card, please click here to find out where you can buy the C2 Privilege Card. As if doing charity and getting discounts for it is not enough, there is a ‘Click and Win’ contest where you can register your C2 Privilege Card online and stand a chance to win some great prizes from HP and a free trip to Jakarta!

Sorry if my entry today seemed more like an advertisement board……but I’m really behind these 2 events that I’ve emceed last week. I’ve decided from now on to only take up emceeing jobs that I would enjoy doing and have a strong conviction for. It’s much easier for me to talk when I feel for the product/cause. I hope you’ll all do your bid for charity and go buy the C2 Card and hope to see you guys and girls make it in the international modelling scene via Faces to Watch. Who knows…you might just be the next Amber Chia!

To end…here’s my first cover on a local magazine……although the magazine is very obscure, and the pictures turned out quite badly…… nonetheless, it is my first solo cover shoot!

They even had an arabic supplement as well, specially catered to the middle eastern tourists….

That would be all for now…..Top 10 Live! has 2 more episodes to go before the end of the season!!!
